Tomato 'Earl's Faux' has large pink beefsteak fruits that weigh 12-16 ounces. This open-pollinated variety has a rich, well-balanced flavor. It was discovered by Earl Cadenhead of Ohio in the early 2000s. It is a potato leaf type.Earl's Faux is a good tomato for the south, but it is late to ripen in our northern climate, and unfortunately loses flavor in cool autumn weather.
Sowing Tomato Seeds:
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant outside 2 weeks after the last frost date. Plant tomatoes deep in the soil for a better root structure. Space 3 feet apart. Full sun.
