Sudduth's strain of Brandywine is one of the most popular beefsteak tomatoes. This 1900 American family heirloom has large pink fruits that can weigh up to 2 pounds. The flesh is sweet, meaty, and juicy. 

 

Sowing Tomato Seeds:

 

Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant outside 2 weeks after the last frost date. Plant tomatoes deep in the soil for a better root structure. Space 3 feet apart. Full sun.
