Tomato 'Ananas Noir' has large, multicolored green, yellow, and purple fruits that can weigh up to 1 1/2 pounds. The interior is a surprising bi-color of green and red. The flavor is tangy, sweet, and smoky.
This productive tomato was developed by the Belgian horticulturist, Pascal Moreau, and introduced in 2005. Also known as Black Pineapple.
Sowing Tomato Seeds:
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant outside 2 weeks after the last frost date. Plant tomatoes deep in the soil for a better root structure. Space 3 feet apart. Full sun.
