Pepper 'Lipstick'

25 seeds. 70 days. Capsicum annuum. Tender perennial.

Pepper 'Lipstick' has 4-inch bright red, sweet fruits with a thick flesh. This open-pollinated variety is great for northern gardeners because it is early. I like to add it to stir fry, but it is also nice eaten fresh.

Spacing 15 inches.

Sowing Peppers Seeds:

Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/4 inch deep. Transplant the peppers 2 weeks after the last frost date or when there is no hint of frost. Space 15 inches apart. Full sun.
