Melon 'Noir des Carmes'

25 seeds. 85 days. Cucumis melo. Annual.

'Noir des Carmes' is a historcal melon from France that was once grown by the Carmelite monks in the 1700s. The sweet 3-pound fruits are a little taste of history. The dark green skin turns molted orange when ripe. Keep an eye on these melons for they tend to burst open when ripe. Avoid overwatering close to harvest time.
