Ethiopian Kale has green leaves with a mild mustard flavor. It hails from Africa and is more reminiscent of mustards or collards than true kale, which is Brassica oleracea. It is thought to be a cross between kale or cabbage with black mustard.
You can save your own seeds in a single season as Ethiopian Kale is an annual. We enjoyed it raw and cooked. Also known as African cabbage, Highland Kale, and Abyssinian Mustard. Open-pollinated.

Sowing Kale Seeds:
Sow seeds outdoors 2–4 weeks before the last frost date to summer. Sow 1/4 inch deep. Full sun to part shade.
