Hibiscus Mix is from two different named varieties of hibiscus in our gardens -Luna Pink Swirl and Luna Rose. The majority of the seeds are from the light pink one. These two varieties are more compact than the species. Also known as Swamp Rose Mallow.
 
Hibiscus prefers full sun and moist soil. Protect the plants with a thick layer of mulch over the winter. Cut back to 4 inches tall while still dormant in early spring. Plants are very slow to emerge, usually in June in our zone 5 garden. 
 
Hight 30 inches. Spacing 30 inches.

Start hibiscus seeds indoors in late winter. Give 2 months cold-moist stratification in the fridge. Sow 1/4" deep. Full sun. Moist soil.
