Lychnis chalcedonica 'Carnea' has large pom-pom shaped heads of flowers in shades of salmon-pink. Carnea makes a nice cut flower, but because of its long bloom time from June to August, it is great to leave in the garden. Hardy to zones 4–10.

 

Height 3–4 feet. Spacing 15 inches.

 

Sowing Lychnis Seeds:

 

Start lychnis seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date, barely covering seeds. Lychnis likes full sun to part shade. Space 15 inches apart.
