Saponaria ocymoides is a short perennial with small pink flowers. It is an excellent rock garden plant being drought tolerant. It cascades and tumbles over rocks making it an attractive ground cover. Cut the plant back after blooming if self-sowing is undesirable. Hardy in zones 3-9.
