35 seeds. 54 days. Cucumis sativus. Annual.
Cucumber 'Silver Slicer' is my favorite cucumber. It is so juicy! The 5-inch fruits have a white skin on the outside and a fresh a crisp flavor on the inside. It has no bitterness and stays non-bitter late into the season. It is resistant to powdery mildew and productive. Silver Slicer was bred at Cornell University.
Sowing Cucumber Seeds:
Sow seeds outdoors after the last frost date, 1/2 inch deep. Or start indoors 3 weeks before the last frost date. Sow in hills 4–6 feet apart or in rows 2 feet apart. Thin to 3 plants per hill. Full sun.
