280 seeds. 50 days. Brassica napus. Biennial.
Kale 'Feathered Frills' has fine leaves that are more air than kale! It has pretty bright lavender ribs. This airy green is good for adding fluff and texture to salad and tastes like other Russian kales. Open-pollinated.
*I harvested these kale seeds from my own plants and found some of them sprouted. I tested the germination in January of 2026 and it was over 95%. I decided to still sell Feathered Frills with this disclaimer.
Height 18-25 inches. Spacing 12 inches.
Sowing Kale Seeds:
Sow seeds outdoors in late spring to summer, 1/4 inch deep. Thin to 12 inches apart. Or start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Full sun to part shade.
