200 seeds. 55 days. Coriandrum sativum. Annual.
Cilantro 'Rak Tamachant' is the mildest cilantro I have tasted. It has large emerald-green leaves and is slow to bolt. It is a great variety for those who shy away from strong cilantro flavor.
The seeds of cilantro, at least in my part of the country, are called Coriander. You can coarsely grind your own coriander seeds with a mortar and pestle or finely grind them with a coffee grinder. Freshly ground coriander is more potent than ground coriander from the store. I love being able to grow my own spices for curry!
Height 16 inches. Spacing 4 inches.
Sowing Cilantro Seeds:
Direct sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in late spring or early summer after the frost date. Thin to 4 inches apart and space rows 12 inches apart. Full sun.
