I absolutely loved growing 'Bonsai' basil! I couldn't get over how round and dense it was without any pruning. I think it would make a cute very short herb hedge in the garden because of how dense it grows even when it is flowering.
Bonsai is a small leafed greek basil with bold flavor. I sprinkled it on my Italian dishes to add flavor or just straight up snacked on the leaves when ever I passed by my little army of potted basil plants.  
 
Height 6 to 12 inches. Spacing 10 inches.
 
Sowing Basil Seeds
 
Sow basil indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant 2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun.
