Tomato 'Abe Lincoln' has medium-sized fruits in clusters. They have a tangy, classic tomato flavor. The ketchup-red fruits weigh up to 8 ounces and are great for old-fashioned tomato sauce. This heirloom has been popular since its introduction in 1923 by W. H. Buckbee seed company of Rockford, Illinois. It is also known as Abraham Lincoln tomato.

Sowing Tomato Seeds:
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant outside 2 weeks after the last frost date. Plant tomatoes deep in the soil for a better root structure. Space 3 feet apart. Full sun.
