Salvia coccinea Red has bright red spikes that will bloom throughout the summer. It is an excellent annual to add to any garden bed that needs a pop of color. Hummingbirds love it! It is native flower to the southeastern United States and Mexico.
 
Also known as Scarlet Sage, Hummingbird Sage and Texas Sage. Salvia coccinea is a perennial in zones 8-11, but can be grown as an annual in cooler zones.
