Lettuce 'Buttercrunch' is a bright green heading lettuce. It is known to be slow to bolt and heat tolerant. It forms a loose head with a blanched center, keeping the inner leaves crisp and tender. This American heirloom was introduced in 1963 by Cornell University and was also an All-American Selections winner.
