Eastern Smooth Beardtongue. Also known as Appalachian Beardtongue. Seeds need 5 weeks cold-moist stratification.
The original seeds were sent to Diane's Flower Seeds by John Ambler of Lancaster, PA, who collected it on the side of a highway. It was identified by botanist Tim Draede.
Height 30 inches. Spacing 15 inches.
Sowing Penstemon Seeds:
Sow seeds outdoors in pots in late fall or winter. Or start indoors, then refrigerate the pots for 5 weeks. Sow on the surface. Full sun to part shade.
