20 seeds. 90 days. Cucurbita moschata. Annual.
Squash 'Musquee de Maroc' has decorative green, warty fruits that weigh 4 to 7 1/2 pounds that vary in shape. The flesh is dark orange and sweet. The texture is somewhat stringy, so it is best baked and blended for soup, pudding and pie. Orginally from North Africa.
It stores up to 2 to 3 months. While Musquee de Maroc does not store for long, it is very sweet and not bitter. It is also easier to cut through than Butternut squash because the skin is softer.
Sowing Squash Seeds:
Sow seeds in hills 1 inch deep after the last frost date. Space hills 4–6 feet apart. Thinned to 2 plants per hill. Full sun.
