Lettuce 'Parris Island Cos' is a classic green leaf romaine lettuce, but with better texture and tenderness than grocery store lettuce. It is slow to go bitter after the warm weather hits. This 1951 American heirloom grows uniform upright heads with blanched hearts. It was named after an island off the coast of South Carolina. 


Spacing 8 inches.


Sowing Lettuce Seeds:


Sow lettuce seeds on the surface of the soil in early spring and lightly cover in soil. Thin seedlings to 8 inches apart. Full sun to part shade.
