Kale 'Dwarf Blue Curled Scotch' is one of the tastiest kale varieties, especially after a few frosts have sweetened the leaves. This kale is exceptionally cold tolerant. We have been able to keep this kale under minimal protection for most of the winter in our zone 6 garden.
 
This open-pollinated variety was developed in 1950. It is also known as Dwarf Blue Curled Scotch Vates.

Sowing Kale Seeds: 
 
Sow seeds outdoors 2–4 weeks before the last frost date to summer. Sow 1/4 inch deep. Full sun to part shade.
