Bean 'Mbombo' hails from Kenya, Africa. It makes a snap bean with 5-inch, stringed pods with hearty bean flavor. I personally don't mind the strings because I enjoy the flavor so much. Mbombo can also be used as a dry bean. The color of the dry bean is a unique dark army green that is stunning in-person. The plants hold up well in hot summers. 
 
Sowing Pole Bean Seeds:
 
Sow beans outdoors 2 weeks after the last frost date under a trellis. Sow 1 inch deep and 3 inches apart. Full sun.
