Squash 'Sibley'

Squash 'Sibley' has long, teardrop-shaped fruits that weigh around 8 to 10 pounds. Its bright yellow-orange flesh contrasts with its gray-blue skin. The hard skin makes it a good keeper. This heirloom banana squash was introduced by Sibley and Co. in 1887. Thought to be a Native American heirloom. Also known as Pike's Peak.

 

Sowing Squash Seeds:

 

Sow seeds in hills 1 inch deep after the last frost date.  Space hills 4–6 feet apart. Thinned to 2 plants per hill. Full sun.
