Marigold 'Sparky Mix' has flowers in shades of yellow, gold, orange and red. This 1950s heirloom has 2-inch double and single blooms. The flowers often start out red and turn gold. Marigolds are great tucked in-between vegetables. I often start marigold seeds in place of seeds that failed to germinate in my spring growing flats because they sprout so fast.
