Bean 'Jacob's Cattle' has mottled red and white coloring and a meaty texture. It is great for baked beans. When used immaturely as a shell bean it has pale pink spots. 

 

Jacob's Cattle is thought to be one of the oldest heirloom beans of the New World. It is also thought to be cultivated by the Passamaquoddy native american tribe. Also known as Anasazi bean.

  

Sowing Bush Bean Seeds:
 
Sow beans outdoors 2 weeks after the last frost date when the soil is warm. Sow 1 inch deep and 3 inches apart in rows spaced 2–3 feet apart. Full sun.
