Borage has blue, star-shaped flowers and fuzzy, gray-green leaves. The young leaves can be added to soup, tea, or salad. Both the leaves and flowers taste like cucumber. The flowers are fun to use as cake decorations.

 

Borage is thought to have originated in the Mediterranean region. It is a calming herb and flowers attract polinators. Self-sows.

Sowing Borage Seeds:

 

Sow borage seeds 1/4 inch deep oudoors 2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun or part shade.
