Tomato 'Black Cherry' has 1-inch dark brown fruit. It is not the most productive heirloom tomato, but it has a wonderful rich flavor. 
 
Sowing Tomato Seeds: 
 
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant outside 2 weeks after the last frost date. Plant tomatoes deep in the soil for a better root structure. Space 3 feet apart. Full sun.
