Poppy 'Diane's Mix'

4,000 seeds. Papaver rhoeas. Annual. 

 

Poppy 'Diane's mix' is a mix of Shirley poppies selected by Diane Linsley. The mix includes single and double flowers. The colors can be solid or bicolor in shades of pink, salmon, orange, red, white, and mauve. They are easy to grow and self sow.  

 

Diane's Mix pairs great Nigella hispanica Curiousity. Shirley poppies are my favorite childhood flower. I remember helping my mother pick the most interesting ones to save seeds from in fall. 

 

Height 30 inches. 

 

Sowing Annual Poppy Seeds: 

 

Sow seeds outdoors in early spring, or fall in mild winter areas. Sow on the surface. For good coverage, mix the seeds with sand before sowing. Full sun.
