Pea 'Lincoln' has 4 inch long pods full of tender, sweet green peas. This 1908 English heirloom is heat tolerant and productive. Pick the peas when the pods start to become round and the top of the pod, the sepal, dries out. 

 

Height 30 inches long.

 

Sowing Pea Seeds:

 

Soak seeds overnight. Sow in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Sow 1/2 to 1 inch deep and 2 inches apart on a trellis or post. Double rows of peas can be planted on a trellis with rows 6 inches apart. Full sun.

    Lincoln pea is so sweet and tender. I can never go back to eating store-bought peas.
