Nigella 'Miss Jekyll Blue' has flowers that start out white and turn blue. It has feathery foliage and self-sows prolifically. The edible seeds smell like spicy grapes. 
 
This is one of my childhood favorites. I think the blooms look like they are from a science fiction movie.

Sowing Nigella Seeds: 
 
Sow nigella seeds outdoors in early spring or fall. Sow on the surface or barely cover the seeds with soil. Thin to 6 inches apart. Full sun.
