Melon 'Ha'Ogen' has fragrant, green-fleshed fruits with a yellow and green exterior. They weigh about 3 to 4 pounds. This is my father's favorite melon for its early maturity and productivity. This heirloom is thought to have originated in Hungary and is also known as Israel Melon.
 
Sowing Melon Seeds: 
 
Sow seeds outdoor after the last frost date, 1/2 inch deep. Sow in hill spaced 6 feet apart and thin to 3 plants per hill. Alternatively, sow in rows spaced two feet apart. Full sun.
