Cabbage 'Danish Ball Head' have beautiful 5-pound heads that store well. They resist bolting and splitting. I love growing my own cabbages for sauerkraut and soup. Harvest when the cabbage feels solid.
 
When you harvest your cabbage, make a clean cut and leave some of the large leaves on the plant. By late fall the plant will grow miniture cabbages. Such a cute treat!

Sow seeds indoors 8–12 weeks before the last frost date, 1/4 inch deep. Transplant 3 weeks before the last frost date. Space 12–18 inches apart. Full sun.
